Areas Of Practice:

Kate LaRiche Moore, Associate

Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP

Kate Moore's practice focuses on natural resource and environmental law. The primary focus of her practice is in water law, in both transactional matters and litigation. In addition, Kate advises clients on matters regarding environmental compliance, environmental liabilities in property transactions, environmental cleanup and cost recovery, natural resource damages, wetlands, and public land permits and licenses.  She has represented a broad range of clients including farmers, ranchers, ditch companies, commercial  land owners, and homeowners associations.  Kate also leads Dunn Carney's Sustainability Team.

Prior to joining Dunn Carney, Kate worked as an attorney with the Law Office of Peter Mohr, focusing primarily on water resources matters, and for former U.S. Senator Donald W. Stewart representing a group of plaintiffs in a toxic tort case. She graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School with a Certificate in Natural Resources and Environmental Law, interning in the summers with Mentor Law Group and the Columbia Basin Water Transactions Program.

Before law school Kate worked for a land trust in Colorado’s Eagle River Valley.  The land trust worked with landowners and public land agencies to create conservation easements and facilitate land trades to enable landowners to preserve their open lands for agriculture, wildlife and scenic beauty.  Kate received her B.A. from Middlebury College in Vermont, majoring in Environmental Studies with a focus on conservation biology.

In her free time, Kate enjoys taking photographs, hiking, skiing, and cycling in Oregon’s many beautiful areas.
