Timothy J. Bernasek, Partner
 

 

Tim Bernasek joined the firm in 2007 to work with Dunn Carney's Agriculture and Natural Resources team and Real Estate/Land Use team. He is also Chair of the firm's Governmental Affairs team.  His practice focuses on a variety of legal matters including real estate, agriculture and natural resources, employment, water law, and business law.  He also works with non-profits and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to assist them with a variety of legal issues.


Prior to joining Dunn Carney, Tim was the General Counsel for the Oregon Farm Bureau Federation. His job duties included managing corporate and contractual legal affairs for the Farm Bureau. He also developed legislative strategy with the Governmental Affairs Department and served as the Administrator for the Oregon Agricultural Legal Foundation. He recently taught an Agricultural Law undergraduate class at Oregon State University.


Tim received his JD and MBA from Willamette University. He is currently the Chair of the Oregon State Bar Agricultural Law Section.  He also serves on the Western Resources Legal Center Board, the Dorchester Board and is a member of several Oregon State Bar committees. Tim was a partner in the law firm of Hobson & Bernasek, LLP before joining the Farm Bureau. 


Tim and his wife Poppy have a daughter Audrey and a son Thomas and live in Portland. In his spare time, Tim enjoys fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and swimming.
